The Oura Ring is the most advanced health-tracking smart ring on the market, enabling users to monitor their sleep, activities, and heart rate, among other things. If you’re wondering whether or not you can take your Oura Ring to the shower, the short answer is yes—Oura Ring can be used in the shower.
The smart ring is water-resistant up to 100 meters or about 330 feet, so you can get wet with it with no hiccups at all. You cannot only shower with it, but you can also swim and use it in recreational diving such as snorkeling, and even playing water sports like jetskiing, paddleboarding, or angling.
Oura Ring can also be used in temperatures from -10 to 52 degrees Celsius or 14 to 125 degrees Fahrenheit. This means if you want to go into the hot tub, sauna, or ice bath, you can do so without worries. Even in cryotherapy tanks, Oura Ring can withstand it.

Do note that prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures (below 0 degrees or 32 degrees Fahrenheit or above 35 degrees Celsius or 95 degrees Fahrenheit may cause damage to the smart ring’s battery.
Oura advises against using the smart ring when scuba diving as the ring has not been tested to withstand strong water pressure. If you are wondering whether or not you can use Oura Ring when freediving, I used mine but nothing deeper than 20 meters. In addition, Oura also does not recommend leaving the smart ring submerged for over 12 hours as water could erode the inner moldings.
How is Oura Ring able to withstand these conditions? Oura is made from titanium and finished with a physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating for gold, silver, rose gold, and brushed titanium variants) and diamond-like carbon (DLC) for black and stealth colors. Titanium is known to be a durable material that is commonly used in aircraft and spacecraft. The inner shell is shock-resistant.
